Description
Tomiki Kenji was born in 1900 in Japan. As a youngster, he became a student of the esteemed Judo master Jigaro Kano, under whose guidance young Tomiki became a superior Judo student. At the urging of Kano, Tomiki undertook the study of Aikido under its founder M. Ueshiba, and soon he began to excel in this art as well. By the time Tomiki grew into manhood he was considered one of the most knowledgeable martial arts experts in Japan, respected by one and all, not only for his knowledge but for his skill as a teacher to whom 1000s flocked.
