Description
During the early 1970's Richard Kim famous historian and author of several books would give lectures to his students and followers at the Chinese YMCA in San Francisco's China Town. He gave a rare series of these lectures on Yoshida Kotaro and Yoshida's teacher Sokaku Takeda.Yoshida met Kim during the 1930's in Japan when Richard Kim was a merchant marine. Yoshida Sensei was also the teacher of Mas Oyama and was responsible for the introduction of Choi Yung Song founder of Hapkido and as well Moreihei Ueshiba the founder of Aikido. This book tells you so many of the tales that Yoshida actually taught Kim Sensei when he lived in Yokohama at Sensei Kim's place which was called the Pilot House a well known waterfront bar famous for brawls.
