KYŪDŌ is the Japanese martial art of archery. Experts in kyūdō are commonly referred to as kyūdōka (弓道家?). Based on kyūjutsu (the “art of archery”), kyūdō originated with the samurai class of feudal Japan, and today is practiced by thousands of people worldwide.
