Built by the state to fight crime, coifed super cyborg K-1 (Alex Fong) is stationed in the countryside under the supervision of self-righteous cop Dachun (Hu Jun), who's less than thrilled about the arrangement. Dachun wants to be the hero, not baby-sit a robot, especially one that shows him up and starts making eyes at his long-time crush, policewoman Su Mei ( Betty Sun). What Dachun and Su Mei don't know, however, is that K-1's program doesn't allow him to love. Amid the romantic scheming, dangerous rogue cyborg K-88 (Wu Jing) suddenly rolls into town.
