The photos inside this original text are of Shigeru Egami who was direct student of the founder Gichin Funakoshi. The photos you can easily see are much better quality than the other books. The content deals with the kata's of shotokan and shotokai karate as well as the makiwara and how to make and use this unique apparatus. Several have re published this book but we have held firm to the original photos and translation in hopes of giving the readers the exact translation with no opinions or personal view points.
