Aspiring actress Norma Jean Baker lives in squalor in the early
1940’s, while working at the munitions plant. She dreams of
being a movie star. Having been abused for most of her live, she
lacks self confidence. After some publicity shots she gets
noticed, only to bounce from one casting couch to another.
Eventually she meets up with producer Hal James who steers her
towards her dream and to eventually transforming her into
Marilyn Monroe. 1976
