Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Master Sylvio Behring
I am now living in Rio de Janeiro for 2 months visiting and meeting so many high quality martial artists and watching and learning the difference between the Jiu Jitsu I was taught 30 years ago by Professor Wally Jay and the way they do it in Brazil.
My friend who I have just met is a world re-known Jiu Jitsu master Sylvio Behring 8th dan.
Sylvio is a great guy and a tremendous host. yesterday we went to his sons school in Rio and today we got on board a little boat and went to an island dojo kind of felt like Bruce Lee going to an island tournament. It was totally enlightening. These students have nothing and rely on sponsors to keep the school open.
The instructor Tito is also an island politician so he knows his way around for sure.
These kids today showed a true Budo spirit and really are doing martial arts for the love of it.
Master Behring is a total professional in the way he teaches and gets students to give their all.
I can not recommend enough if you get a chance to go to his seminars go he is smart kind and most certainly one of the good guys in the martial arts.
More tomorrow on Brazilian Martial Arts direct from Rio. Carnival is coming hahaha.
